Dr. Jennifer Walden discovered her skills in plastic surgery as she rotated through the different surgical specialties in medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She graduated second in her class and spent her medical residency at the same institution. Following her residency in 2003, she received a fellowship in aesthetic surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York’s Upper East Side.
While in New York, she worked for eight years with the famous aesthetic plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrell Aston. It was at that time that Dr. Walden became part of the clinical trials that lead to the revival in using silicone breast implants.
After the birth of her twin sons in 2011, Dr. Walden returned to her hometown of Austin, Texas and began a private practice in Westlake Hills. The facility is named the Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center, and it is located in the Westlake Medical Center. She also opened a satellite office in Marble Falls, Texas.
Dr. Walden specializes in plastic surgery of the breast, face, eyelids, body and genitals. Other services she provides are hair restoration and laser procedures to remove hair, scars, sun spots and small veins.
She is famous for using a technology called ThermiVa. It is a temperature-controlled system that uses radio frequencies to tighten and rejuvenate the vagina. Another technology she uses is Vectra 3D imaging that lets patients see what they will look like after procedures such as a breast lift or rhinoplasty.
Dr. Walden is a consultant for the cosmetic companies ThermiAesthetics, Venus Concept and Ideal Implant, among others.
